Aaron Spelling – The Prime Time King – on how to Make your Dreams Come True

”Beautiful people in beautiful clothes in front of beautiful sets. If you live in a little house with wall-to-wall people on a road that was never paved, you dream of beautiful people, beautiful clothes and beautiful styles of living. That was my dream and I realized it many times over.”

These are the words of film producer Aaron Spelling. You know, the man who produced many of the really popular shows throughout the decades, shows like Charlie’s Angels, Loveboat, and Hart to Hart – The Prime Time King as he is also referred as.
I am currently reading his memoir ”A Prime Time Life”.
I love reading memoirs of people who follow their passions and make them a reality.
Aaron Spelling explains the main reason for him retelling his story is to inspire people to follow their dreams. To encourage people to engage in what really inspires them. Aaron Spelling knew that when you go for your dreams, when you really focus, really believe and really stick by them, work at them everyday, you will achieve those dreams. We can all create our wildest desires.

Spelling wanted people to experience joy. Coming from a poor background himself he understood that people wanted television shows to be a place to relax and feel uplifted. That certainly fits the bill with most of his shows.

Charlies Angel’s – about three powerful, independent women who had the latest hairdos, wore the coolest clothes and drove the hottest cars. Or as Spelling describes the show: ”Three of the most beautiful ladies in the world work for a guy on a telephone who they’ve never met, make 500 dollars a week and wear 5000 dollars Nolan Miller gowns.” Lighthearted, upbeat and glamorous.

In Hart to Hart Spelling wanted to show a married couple, a husband and a wife, that truly and deeply love each other, that spend every day as if they were still on their honeymoon, that are sensuous and have fun together.

Mr and Mrs H. as they were referred to by their chauffeur Max, were a super-rich Beverly Hills couple who loved to travel to new exotic places every week in their private jet, when they didn’t spend the time in their luxurious home, and solve crimes along the way.

Always with a lighthearted flair, limitless amounts of money and time to spend. Always with a happy ending.

The stories in Love Boat were set aboard the Pacific Princess, a luxury cruise ship which embarked each week on a romantic, sentimental, and amusing voyage. Three couples boarded – young and old, married and unmarried – and all were looking for love. Their stories were interwoven with the ship’s crew.

Exotic locations, leisurely strolls along the cruise deck, elegant dinner parties, romantic late night dancing and all this not a care in the world feeling of luxury. The feeling of life as a never ending holiday.

Since everything is possible, and we all create our own reality with what we believe, what we think and speak into existence, and how we choose to feel, what frequency we choose to experience our reality by, what is it you want to go after? What do you want to create? What sets you on fire?
