I am preparing for a piano concert.
I will be playing Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky.
It’s a beautiful piece to play. There is a story unfolding within. Different sections played in different ways.
I’m especially in awe of the the theme song. To me the Song of the Swans is one of the most beautiful works of art. I can loose myself in the beauty of being inside this piece.
It’s emotional. Tender. Builds up. Gets intense.
I feel deeply connected to this balett. To me it holds profound meaning.
I like making my practices fun.
One way I enjoy is to create a piano camp. A camp where the days are filled with fun training.
I have these days filled with sitting by the piano for as many hours as I want. I get up early and eagerly head to my piano. What a treat to sit in the early hour while the world is still silent and in reassuring sleep.
I explore the tunes. Go deep inside the process. No sense of time and space. I am in the here and now.
There is so much pleasure in these camp days I make up for myself.
I like being driven. Having a goal that I work towards. I like to build. I like to go after my goals with an equal amount of focus and determination, and of play and fun.
Sometimes I envision Michael Jackson and WA Mozart as a very encouraging and engaging audience. Usually Swedish musician Kal P Dal also joins in. Brilliant crowd.
After a session I applaud myself. Literally give myself a round of applause. Excellent work.
I want it. I got it.
Always moving forward.
Talking about beautiful moments at the piano, Olga Scheps is a German classical pianist I enjoy. She has the most beautiful way of positioning her hands. In this particular performance her whole presence is magical. She shines. A goddess. A regal goddess.
I enjoy people who make their dreams come true.
Who go for what they want.
There is such fresh perspectives to all that you post. I always get a boost of inspiration from reading your stories. Thank’s for uplifting me and my colleagues. //Adrian M
